Awful place to use sarcasm. If you're a parent, your children are your priority...or rather they should be. Video gaming is not a means of escaping the reality of life. SE makes this clear with their note telling you not to forget friends, family etc. Shame on any parent who would prioritize in any way experiencing a video game over taking care of their child, however short that time may be.

Well said. If video games are your way of taking a break from your kids, then you should be playing one that you can detach yourself from at any time. Most single players game have a pause function; MMOs don't. It's not fair to the other 7 people you're grouping with in a game, or your kid, to have divided attention.

we have a term for what you've described its call Being selfish. you want fair? fair is allowing someone to take that 10 minute break to do what ever it is he or she needs to.

who the hell are you to deny someone a few minutes of there time, because some timer say you have 45 minutes remaining? well guess what there's a message that pops up every time the game launches urging you to deal with your real life problems first and foremost, if that time just happens to be in a dungeon thats to fucking bad.
