I am SO pissed, SE totally F'd me cause I went out and got their Collectors Edition. As you may know with the CE they give you a month free and because of this SE said I didn't pay for 3 months because I payed more for the game to get one month free. On top of that they cut off payment for October so whatever chance I had they robbed me of that too. That's the last time I ever give SE more money than they deserve.

Are you saying you met the conditions implemented however did not get your legacy erroneously?

Or is it that you simply didn't pay enough times to qualify and by just missing the mark you are now QQing?

edit: based on the evidence... it seems you barely played at all meaning you fall into the QQ category; in which case I have this to say to you.

YOU were NOT with the game from the beginning therefore you do not deserve legacy.

'From the beginning' does NOT mean you got to the boss fight, then went AFK then come back and got the kill shot... and acting entitled will not change the fact

I don't have the Legacy status, but I don't feel cheated because of that.
I've been playing since the closed beta testing, and quitted the game after a month or two, when it was in such a terrible state that it couldn't be defended in any way. I always felt somehow bad for it, for I really love the game world and everything, so I've been following the news about ARR. I got the mail with the Legacy advertisement, and thoguht about it, but eventually I didn't go for it. I thought the game was still in the same terrible state as it was when I quit, and in that moment felt like I would be wasting my money, couldn't justify the expense.

I've reactivated, together with a friend, last month. I've seen how much better the game is now, I've done my best to keep up with all the updates and managed to finish both the main scenario quests and the GC quests before the final save, I've found a linkshell and made many friends, had so much fun, and i REALLY, REALLY REGRET not having done this before. I've been with FFXIV since its start, and kinda hurts a bit not having that Legacy status. Not even for the discounts or for the extra characters, just because I've loved this game from the start, and kept defending it even when I wasn't playing it anymore. But you know what? It's fair.

It's fair because other people sticked with the game when it was terrible, kept supporting the devs in its worst moments, and it's thanks to the legacy players that ARR is becoming a reality. So yes, I feel really sorry, I really regret not doing it, but I can't say it's unfair, or that I feel cheated in any way.

Now this person i like a lot she's not crying she's not being a stupid ass like OP, she's being honest making true sense. while his complain is just plain dumb ass stupid. He looks like one of those pick it up and test with the free trial thats that.

Heres my feelings on the OP's post. I am a legacy member, but i am also a player who didnt sit there and play final fantasy XIV all the time either. I gave square enix the monthly fees, call me crazy stupid whatever because i believe in them. I believe they can craft a game thats worthy of the final fantasy moniker. I believe they can turn final fantasy XIV into the game we all hoped it would be. Did i play 1.0 like crazy, no. Did i like 1.0, not really. But, i do believe that square is taking final fantasy XIV: a realm reborn very seriously, and that is why i provided them with the monthly fees they need to keep this game alive. Im sure alot of you are going to say oh man that guys an idiot for wasting his money like that. To me, if they can deliver an online final fantasy experience like no other, then it was worth spending the money to see A Realm Reborn succeed. So to answer the OPs question, no i dont feel left out. You know why? Because i know i was there since day 1 when the game first released and my legacy badge on my character select screen reminds me of that.

SE should have left October fully available, they should have also supplied better dates on their main page - but getting one character to level 50 hardly shows dedication. My BLM was casually played to level 50 in 7 days.

If you had friends PL you, you could have a level 50 in a day to day and a half. (Also this issue has been brought up a few times before - SE has shown no desire to respond to the many threads in the past, I assume your chances of getting any kind of official -anything- is pretty much zero). I dont say that with joy but I say it because I've been the head of SE missplay of legacy in a few threads and SE never made any response, and as it being so late (the server shutting down in a few days) for your sake I'd just try to move on.

I think my new gripe will be how easy we got it compared to how it will (I think at least) be in ARR. Way easier to level and then hence all the items were way easier to obtain, not to mention Atomos, Garuda, leve quest abuses, and better pricing - oh and a bunch of exlusive items. Pack of pampered snow flakes I feel we are.. lol
