Going back to FFXI

I've already gone back to FFXI once and then left it again. I can't see myself ever going back. Here's to hoping that MWO beta and War Z alpha can hold me until AAR.

I did enjoy my time there but someone just needs to put it out of its misery.

The graphics are probably one of the better parts of XI, if you force your own HD settings and use windower to set your FoV much farther/display more enemies on screen

Even with all of it's faults, I kinda want to play FFXI during downtime, but I have no money at all, so I'm gonna have to hold out, unfortunately. Or maybe it is fortunate. I don't know yet.

FFXIV just does something for me that XI and WoW and other MMOs didn't, even despite it's shittyness.

Low poly has never been an issue for me. I just take it as part of the charm. A representation of its era.

It was done, it can be done again... faster even because there are no lvl cap quests to get through afterwards..

As it happened I saw an old friend run by (whom was originally on another server actually so the coincidence is astounding) and once I let them know who I was they got on skype and told me everything about the (then current) trends and happenings... we jumped into abby after I met the pre-requisites ( i think it was lvl 30 or something I forget) ... PLed a couple of days and... there you go.

Been playing like 2 days, and I find it quite enjoyable for fresh starter here. Taking my leisure time to watch chocobo race. XD

And those who says can quick lvl up, it's possible if u're a returning. But for someone who really starting this game (as in really never played this game before), I doubt can quick lvl that fast. ;D

Some of my friends went back to FFXI. I've entertained the idea of joining them, but it turns out I can't, because I've lost my password. I can't reset it until I merge my FFXI and SE accounts, and to do this I need to enter - that's right - the very same password.

I've contacted support about this, and they said I should provide either four numbers from my credit card or the code I've used to create FFXI account. Now, it's been forever since I've played that game, the card I've used to pay for it has long since expired and I can't find the goddamn box.

In short, I am f@#$%d.
