Final 1.0 event info & time

In 30 minutes the servers come up. Expect the FFXIV world to be in the final countdown with even more extreme weather and events. These next 11 days are not going to be saved, so a lot can happen. I understand we will all be saved i an event similar to FFXIII. Some sort of time rift or godly interference. These last 11 days will not be normal. I don't know if there will be anything new to do. I would like a Haloween event. That would be nice.

The fact that our character won't be saved doesn't mean that SE can't do anything through our accounts. Unlocks, achievements, collectibles and whatnot can easily be granted through the account as much as through the character.

That's how we unlocked collector edition items and special prezzies, after all, and SE could easily record who was present at the "crash" of the moon and unlock some stuff on their account.

So.. i has noticed there isn't even a patch to download yet.
I'm glad that all the efforts are going into ARR,
that's better in the long run,
But if there's no real final event of real interest (other than cutscene),
I am dissapoint.

Considering that whatever will happen, if anything will happen, could have been there hidden in the code since way before today, or it could simply be GMs spawning monsters for all we know, I don't see like a patch or a lack of thereof could be any indication on what will happen.

Considering how deeply people comb the dats after an update, if anything new were to be added for this event even if added prior, it would have been found, so if its just them flipping a switch or spawning stuff, its definitely nothing new, since new mobs would have been found by now, all they do is tell how certain mobs should behave, for example normal corpse mobs vs Atomos corpse mobs, same model used, just scaled different with an effect applied to them.

I hope they are not having problems dumping the servers.... it could screw up the data. Also no patch doesn't mean there won't be one after the dump.
