We're annoyed because it shows a lack of effort. Everything from older games has been at least put into the XIV art style, XI mobs have not.

The art style and world of XI looks out of place in XIV. Even the races got a minor facelift to suit the world more. (so did the early mobs taken from XI too, like Peiste and Raptors)

I agree with you, but I don't think a few mobs would mean much of a difference, honestly. If it became a constant thing, sure. But right now it's just Adamantoise, which there really isn't a whole lot you can do to make a giant turtle look different without some stupid spikes or something that FFX had.
