Perhaps these big mobs are part of leveling quest since the character is missing alot spells? Taking a approach similar to GW2? With its huge amount of massive bosses during the leveling time.

Also i see those archers standing on the mountains. Hmm they allowing us to use the terrain like that instead getting that elevation error? Thats a step up in fun.
