I did like how he said whatever they bring in will be tweaked to fit the XIV world though. Better than just dropping random FF stuff and saying, "BAM! fanservice."

If people have played FFIX, they should know that this is how most likely FFXIV will be approached. FFIX was able to have a ton of references to the games before it without conflicting with the world itself.

Pretty much, but that's what happens when people overlook one of the better FF games.

Yep. FFIX has a dungeon full out ripped out the orignal Final Fantasy, down to the music, and it fit perfectly on the game.
