In one fleeting moment, from the land doth life flow
Yet in one fleeting moment for the new leaf doth grow"
No one is asking for XI HD. People are, however, would have preferred it as a base to the basic design, most especially how it valued world design and player comradely.
...The part where they have a most of assets and lore already created.
1) The dude keeps saying in all threads hes willing to pay w/e for FFXI-2 just for him!
2) Yoshi-P has created all those lore assets hes been working on 1.0 for 1 year already or more so no hes not taking anything from what Tanaka did
i gave you a +1 for that, ...lol then took it away again ...but yeah i have been pretty neg on my posts, i usually only type about the things i don't like about it or i don't type at all. i agree with you i'm usually bitchign about something in what i type. but at least i'm being possitive about there old mmo. lol.
also i still think ffxiv is top mmo out. i still think it will be better then any out now and foreseeable future. it just can't go into total mainstream same game but with ff lore. half the mmo'ers don't even read lore.
but no i don't want ffxi-2 but i want it as a template like others have stated. but if ffxi-2 is what i'd get i dont' mind that over what i don't like. i want new everything but will all the delicious things that made ffxi scrumptious for me. and yeah i keep repeating i would pay 24bucks for a mmo that i like cause apparently it's money the company wants and if they want to make the same amount just charge me double lmao. but it is kinda true though, we not seen prices of monthly go up at all really for ever but prices are going up in making them right? they must be cutting costs somewhere or they must be copy pasting for a decade. also i need like 2 or 3 mmo's to really equal the same amount of play time either way. except then i just have 2 or 3 mmo's i don't' really enjoy though.
and lol these 3 threads are more entertaining at moment then playing and that is sad. i never even logged into a forum for ffxi.

I'm pretty sure Yoshi-P has said that only about 10% of the assets in ARR are carried over from 1.0. You got me on the Lore though, but there really isn't too many restrictions to what they can do with it since as far as I know the scope of the implemented lore has always been fairly tiny compared to the big picture that we don't know about.
Mathematically, it's the same system. The only difference was the maximum amount your exp gets reduced over time and the exp level, which is a change of a variable.No...
Rested experience is an added bonus on top of regular experience. The regular experience is based off the mob level, and your level. No matter what, you'll get a set amount of experience based off what you kill.
Fatigue was regular experience being reduced to nothing, forcing you to switch classes. This is nothing like the system we have now.
It does not change the fact you earn "more" exp after taking a break than if you would continue to level constantly.
All that changes is the base level of exp and the boost rate being inverted, thus appearing to be a bonus.
It's like saying "your bow does less damage when the target is near you" vs "you do more damage if the target is further away". The later sounds like you're getting "more".
