May we have quick clarification regarding the White Ravens (earrings)?

Anyway I said Nael may come back because of the incredible similarities between another iconic revive"r" - voiding that he still may come back because SE loves reviving things.

The white ravens require a different set of logic because Nael may not come back in a human state and is a farther jump of logic. I specifically mentioned that as well.

So if you are poking at me, at least order my logic in the same whys instead of contriving it.

Not insulting you, more like poking fun at your logic. Granted, you do mention it to be less likely but then you go on to draw parallels to FF7 and say it can happen. I think there is zero chance white ravens will reappear in 2.0 no matter how much Nael resembles Sephiroth.

Sorry if the parallels seemed to be for White Ravens - I was making them to show the consistency and likely hood of continued consistency that Nael will be returning.

I dont have much for the white ravens other then what Dzian said, and that they havent been confirmed to be gone.

What is taking the community team so long? I mean, is there some terrible, horrible reason that's preventing them from just outright saying yes or no as to whether or not they'll be obtainable in ARR?!


The sooner we find out, the sooner my LS and I can stop stressing so much and decide what to do about it as a group.

I dunno if they will or not but from everything the devs had said and the patch notes etc. It all suggests they will be obtainable in 2.0. The link I posted earlier states items not explicitly listed will not be changed. and the earrings aren't listed. Also as a few people have mentioned. "The Raven, Nevermore" is not a part of the umbral storyline which was even said in the patch notes. (seemingly the same situation as primals and primal weapons)

I may be wrong but rather than just blatently say yes or no I have at least offered some support for my answer and I suppose its relative. for example people believed the imperial dalmaticas from castrum novum would be gone as has ties to the umbral plot etc and devs confirmed those items will stay as will primal weapons and other such stuff. either way at least I made the effort to support my answer rather than just lol.

Except for a few specific items, the items that you can obtain in the current version of the game will be available in A Realm Reborn. Just like primal weapons, have no fear if you haven’t snagged that sweet Darklight armor yet! There will be a chance in A Realm Reborn to obtain it.

However, since the game is changing quite drastically, the methods for obtaining these items may not be exactly the same as they are now.

Welp, all we need is Camate to say, whether or not the White Ravens will be available in 2.0.

Being able to get White Ravens after the Dalamud storyline would be really stupid. Nael was created specifically for this storyline (where he first showed up as a GM-NPC) and so anything involving him will disappear along with that storyline. Hoping otherwise is kind of dumb. The earring itself will probably not even be that good in 2.0 so it's basically just a trophy for people who are able to beat him with 1.0's battle system.

It's generally agreed that White Ravens won't be obtainable in 2.0, and for good reason, they probably think they already made that clear but I guess you guys will find out before Nov 1st.. maybe

Either way, do what might be removed in 1.0 rather than what you know won't be
