because everyone convincing themselves the earrings will be obtainable in 2.0 and not prioritizing a kill before servers go down are gonna lose their s**t and flood the forums with crying (as usual) when they realize they blew their only chance by banking on the wrong assumption

so why would they have the normal mode removed but keep the hard mode? and considering the story is the same in normal and hard mode of the fight...

You have nothing to say that they will not be in 2.0 (that is approved SE source - until SE speaks up that is). So you are assuming just like you are telling others not to be doing.

Except for a few specific items, the items that you can obtain in the current version of the game will be available in A Realm Reborn. Just like primal weapons, have no fear if you haven’t snagged that sweet Darklight armor yet! There will be a chance in A Realm Reborn to obtain it.

However, since the game is changing quite drastically, the methods for obtaining these items may not be exactly the same as they are now.
