lolI believe the white ravens will be obtainable in 2.0.
Because "The Raven, Nevermore" quest is not a part of the umbral story line. It is a side quest from it just like "Taming the Tempest" and "Ifrit Bleeds, We Can Kill It" aren't part of the umbral story but "It Kills With Fire" and "In For The Garuda Wakening" are parts of the umbral story.
As such I'd say the earrings are likely to be present in ARR just maybe obtained differently. but as they're not mentioned in that post the quote above says they will not be changed.
that is all

Serious Question:
Why lol?
Considering even the patch notes for the quest said it was not a part of the umbral story and as a result has direct contradictions to the story? Patch Notes
*This battle content presents some contradictions when played alongside the main story, as events following the battles are the same as those experienced during the quest "To Kill a Raven." Please note that these battles do not have to be completed to advance the story. "Rivenroad (Hard)" is currently the most punishing battle available in FINAL FANTASY XIV, and we intend for players to enjoy this as a special challenge after completing the main story.

It is very much apart of the story. It's just a re-imagining of what happened when the player went to face Darnus. It just doesn't advance the story in any fashion over the current normal version. Doesn't mean it's not part of the Umbral storyline.serious question:

Primals have to do with the story as well. Thats why their easy mode is being removed and changed in the list of removed achievements. But hard mode wasnt enough apparently and the items involved with it are confirmed to be staying.

Thats kinda my point. The hard modes aren't part of the storyline.

but there's a difference between Darnus and Primals. Nael deus Darnus was created solely for the 7th Umbral storyline. The same storyline that is going to essentially be deleted. The primals on the other hand were planned to be used in the main scenario (and Leviathan/Titan were delayed due to the Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami). They never once stated that primals were being removed (summons themselves), and as for the weapons I don't recall any facts specifically stating primal weapons would be removed outside of player speculation. (If you do please link me, and I would happily look it over).
Anywho, i'll look back for that link but I think stating any more of my opinion on the subject would just be beating a dead Chocobo. I don't think it's wrong to believe that they will exist in 2.0, but rather stating I find it highly unlikely.

And yes player speculation due to the primals relation to Umbral is why some thought them (weapons) to be removed (and the achievements being removed). But same case for Nael, again player speculation. There is just enough evidence for as there is aganist.
serious answer:
because everyone convincing themselves the earrings will be obtainable in 2.0 and not prioritizing a kill before servers go down are gonna lose their s**t and flood the forums with crying (as usual) when they realize they blew their only chance by banking on the wrong assumption
so why would they have the normal mode removed but keep the hard mode? and considering the story is the same in normal and hard mode of the fight...
that doesn't make any sense at all.
seriously. can't wait for the inevitable flood of tears.

Assuming may be wrong but you cant say they "wont" be there either.serious answer:

Ask SE, that is what they ARE doing for primals weapons' already.

you guys need to think harder. because it's exceedingly simple.
banking on the assumption earrings will be gone: get kill before servers go down, get earrings. even if they're available in 2.0, you already got them so it doesn't matter.
banking on the assumption earrings will be available: don't get kill before servers go down, don't get earrings. if they're available in 2.0, great. if not- you're screwed.
it's not rocket science. take your fate into your own hands.
