¯し(ツ)_/¯ Who knows!I know that "Items obtained through events associated with the coming of the Seventh Umbral Era, such as over-aspected clusters" are not going to be available in ARR. But I was just wondering if the White Ravens obtained via Rivenroad (Hard) are considered in this category.
After all, the Imperial gear obtainable from Castrum Novum are going to be available in ARR, despite Castrum Novum being part of the Seventh Umbral Era plotline.
So I would love for a Rep to clarify (not user speculation, sorry) whether or not the White Ravens count as an unobtainable item in ARR. Just so I know if I should stop trying to force people to do the fight, and do other things peacefully.
Much thanks.

Yup, "he didn't die all along" plotlines are nothing new. Look at Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow's death was retconned because he was so popular. Force Unleashed 2 resorted to cloning to bring Starkiller back. And ****ing Orochimaru in Naruto is the most annoying example.

Maybe all that will come to pass, but I don't see Nael coming back in the incarnation he was represented in the story/hard mode fights, so should he really have the same item as a different being? It seemed to me this fight was designed to be accomplished before 1.0 ended and the earrings are the reward for being able to overcome it. But to quote Camate:He goes into a spirit death, everybody knows if a boss spirit dies he can come back SE boss rules 101. He was alluded to sephiroth more then once, everybody knows Sephiroth laughs at death.
He talks about forming himself with Dalamud - Dalamud crashes into the ground (meteor), now he is a superpowered meteor fragment (sound anything like FF7? ^_^).
¯し(ツ)_/¯

I don't even know Japanese, so I just saw it as a guy saying "Who Knows?" :P But there could be some dual meaning there!
yah that's just an emoticon of a dude shrugging, it's a nicer/more funny way for them to say "please be patient and look forward to the details"
lolI believe the white ravens will be obtainable in 2.0.
Because "The Raven, Nevermore" quest is not a part of the umbral story line. It is a side quest from it just like "Taming the Tempest" and "Ifrit Bleeds, We Can Kill It" aren't part of the umbral story but "It Kills With Fire" and "In For The Garuda Wakening" are parts of the umbral story.
As such I'd say the earrings are likely to be present in ARR just maybe obtained differently. but as they're not mentioned in that post the quote above says they will not be changed.
that is all

We'll learn why Dalamud continues to crash towards eorzea in the finale, I think. Also, when you defeat Nael, Dalamud absorbs him. This is what he wanted and no, he's not dead. At least, not in the physical sense.
As for the White Ravens, I am going to assume they will only be with the 1.0 story line. Who knows though. Primal weapons were suppose to be with this version only, but they changed their tune on that.

Honestly, believing they will be obtainable in ARR is akin to those people believing that those seals weren't going to be used for relic weapons back when. It's common sense, and it's been stated many times over. Nael deus Darnus is an exclusive fight to 1.0, why should they reward people in 2.0 who didn't take the time to experience the "once in a lifetime" opportunity? Relics or Soon to be unobtainable earrings. Time for a priority check.
What's next, free dalamud horns in ARR too? IT COULD HAPPEN YO!
