I'm not aware of anything being pushed back. If you take a peek at the road map everything looks to be pretty much on schedule.

If they were on schedule we would already have the 2.0 client available for download. ARR (PC) isn't even in beta yet.I'm not aware of anything being pushed back. If you take a peek at the road map everything looks to be pretty much on schedule.

Not entirely true. There is an unmarked sliver placed at the end of Oct. to mid Nov. I automatically assume that's alpha as it goes unlisted on the roadmap. I know what Yoshi said a couple of months ago, but maybe he felt flexible with an earlier date as the original alpha was intended for the end of Oct. Also client distribution does not necessarily mean public distribution. That in itself is vague. Alpha/Beta still seem to be on track according to the roadmap.

Alpha was originally slated for end of September - Early October and we've had a rep (german I believe) state that Beta would be in November, then we've had a 4gamer (I believe) article say that Alpha would be in November, so in reality the only concise date we have on anything is the final save and game going offline.I'm not aware of anything being pushed back. I'm actually a little disappointed that SE is pushing the alpha and beta and release so much I wish they didn't. We have been waiting for this game to REALLY ACTUALLY launch for 2 years? lol... And not even a benchmark yet ; ;.
There have been so many disappointments with SE.. I always remember in FFXI a saying that I used to hear almost all the time which was.. "Blame SE.." :/ For such a "big-wig" company like SE as some people call it they really disappoint a lot.
More than any other company I've seen. :/ Honestly I don't think I have seen any other company mess up too bad lol, this is kinda the first time I've seen such a bad launch of a game and so many delays.
And I have played some MMOs in my time, don't get me wrong I am sticking around and definately love this game and SE and FF series is still my fave. But at the same time since I'm waiting so anxiously for 2.0 I'm kinda sad that it really might take as long as some people are speculating..
Maybe around a couple of months to finally officially launch ; ;, which I hope is not going to happen cuz i will go crazy ; ;.

I'd rather have 5 months without playing ffxiv 1.0 than having again a ffxiv launch failure. We all know SE likes to say nothing and when they say something it's like: please, wait a little longer. lol It's fine to me. I know they are working hard for the success of this game.
