There should be a way to voluntary remove names. . but not involuntary like when selling stuff or trading.

I'm against removal of names.

At most, a configuration option that hides names on all gear client-side only. That's it. Names should always stick. If I made something amazing and let someone borrow it, I wouldn't want them wiping my name off of it, purposefully or accidentally.
