You dumb? Did I say ARR or CURRENT FFXIV? Graphics on char/armor are 100x better, the armor in XIV is so plain looking(except AF which was added long after release).

Not at all. XIV has a fantastic aesthetic, easily the best aspect of the game. The AF sets were a step in the wrong direction, gaudy and pandering in order to supplement their tacked on 'Jobs' system

I really hope Square continues in that direction instead of bowing to people like you

Aion's graphics better than Final Fantasy XIV? LOL, someone doesn't have eyes.

The only MMOs that get *close* to comparing are Age of Conan, The Secret World, TERA, Blade & Souls and ArcheAge (that hasn't released yet, but having tried the latest beta I can tell it has better environments than FFXIV but characters look a lot worse, you can find screenies here http://www.flickr.com/photos/abriael...85686189/show/ if you don't know what I'm talking about).

None of them get near to overtaking FFXIV in terms of overall graphics. Nor they overtake what we've seen of ARR on PC. It still looks better.

Why are people just now noticing exp past lvl 50? You could see it during the gamescom demo.

Uh bowing to people like me when I have what? 50 posts compared to your 300+? Just shows who spams on here more, derp. If you think that AF armor didn't look great than just LOL. Although, the job system is total garbage, don't like it at all. Would prefer just 1 job, instead of how it is right now.

You seem to forget, the original XIV that did not have the job system and had MRD/GLD/THM/CNJ was not even like a normal FF game, hi where is WHM BLM PLD WAR etc? They had to do something to it because how it was noone understood why they did that. They prob got the idea from the person who thought of the "Job System" on the forums where they branch off from the armor instead.

You can prob fill the XP needed for level 51 but not physically hit level 51, because eventually the level cap will raise.

Yes, because WoW was just made in 2012. WoW is it's own art style.. and gameplay wise, WoW is way better. Stop comparing WoW to FFXIV, there's no comparison. Stick to FF gamez. Gameplay accounts for a lot of a game's playability, shiny game but terrible gameplay is what got FFXIV in trouble in the frist place.. maybe you should learn that FIRST.

FFXIV may be broken, WOW just sucks.. its popularity is strictly based on Hype.. the graphics suck, the gameplay sucks... WOW was never a great MMO it just had a company willing to pay a lot for celebrity endorsements

It does have some nice aspects, but yea I couldn't play it for long.

It does, but the features are way better than its graphics (completely explorable world and navigate seas, naval warfare, sandbox environment that you can influence permanently and so forth). Though I'm not really happy with how the characters look. But that the cryengine for you: awesome environments and kinda meh characters.

Enough with the WoW comparison, ur gonna lose that fight 10/10 times except here on the FF forum: graphics > gameplay so of course! duh.. ARR looks impressive but will it BE impressive? It's gameplay showoff time.
