I just wanted to get an idea of players who are actively working on this fight or have cleared it please!

I myself want challenging content but I have been unable to entice, persuade people to put the time and effort in for this clear.

Its so sad when my LS has no interest at all and its basically impossible to do this via pug.

I just want to know why people don't care for this fight, is it bad timing because of relic quests, just too hard or were we not given enough time to obtain these aside the very hardcore and organised linkshells/leaders? Or having ARR announced just basically made every go meh, best for me to focus on ranks etc.

I don't mind content being extremely hard and time consuming, but there has been absolutely no talk about this from anyone I've crossed paths with on my server and I'm just baffled as this is obsolete content that I thought people would want to get done.

These earrings are bad ass and I'm so annoyed that I won't be able to get these in a months time due to just not being able to find enough dedicated people for it.

There are many items I still want from Hamlet/Relic/Garuda/CC but I know these are still obtainable in ARR so whhhhy don't people want the White Raven's?

I think it more has to do with the fact that there is only one (that I know of) published strategy of this fight in English, as opposed to the dozens of strategies/tips the JPs have put forth, complete with multiple PT setups.

While decent gear is required for the fight, if all 8 members understand the fight completely, having superior gear/Relic weapons is not required. I have beaten the fight a total of four times, and in one fight I was in a party where no members had any Relic weapons whatsoever and one of the BRDs ran out of arrows mid-fight still won (although with only 3 seconds left). Understanding the fight (especially understanding the range of Lunar Dynamo and destroying the Lunar Fragments) is the most critical element, and unfortunately, from my observations, not many NAs are willing to put that research and effort into it because they dismiss the fight as too hard.

Yes, it's a hard fight. But it's hella fun, and the sense of accomplishment when you finally beat it is very, very rewarding.

I'm sorry for hijacking your thread but my group just started doing this today (so much fun!) and I have one question: how should we deal with the golems during 2nd megaflare (when he's charging the 2nd megaflare, that is)? What have you guys done?

My group completely ignores it, except for the two golems that spawn in one of the middle platforms where the THMs and BRDs and standing by to shoot down the Lunar Fragments. They are dealt with the MNKs and the WHMs.

My static decided to focus on getting the relic done rather than doing Darnus, but I've head of plenty others who do Darnus instead because it won't be available in 2.0.

I'd love to do both, but there peobably isn't enough time for it :/

It's all in the black mages. It's an easy fight if each person knows their role and sticks to it. And to above, have the monk deal with the golems.

I think the big reason people don't want to do it is because of the time and effort you have to invest in doing a new fight, especially when a ton of people haven't cleared ifrit extreme. The earring is pretty much best in slot for any job but the fact that its an earring makes it fairly subpar in general when you compare it to the rewards for all respective primal battles and the upgrade that they give compared to the gear youd be using before getting that upgraded weapon.

The fight is really boring, the 10 times i've attempted, its just too long and repetitive. Things get interesting with golemns, but its just overly long and for a white mage/bard its not that interesting. Not to say the fight is bad some of the elements in there are fun. But its also content you clear once then never do unless someone in your ls needs it.

Not saying you are lying but is there any source that the White Raven's won't be in 2.0? Their "all items from the umbral era" was kinda broad and not very helpful. Garleans still exist in 2.0 and I'm assuming that a "White Raven" of some sorts will still be there, maybe not, so just wondering if there is anything really support them not being in 2.0. I'm on board with you though definitely wanting to get that fight done then if the item won't be in 2.0 anymore.
