We are forgetting the other "Jobs" in FFXIV: ARR.

And I don't think that's the Japanese name for Botanist. I have had this little sheet handy for a good while, and Botanist in Japanese is Botanist.



That was a list for when the game was first released with all the classes that were planned for the game (from the Tanaka era).

Could the Botanist class be upgraded to the Harvester job (or advanced class, or maybe just AF for the class)? That artwork I posted above sure does make it look like it could.

What is everyones thoughts? I kind of find it VERY strange that those two sections on the new FFXIV website are grayed out with no information.

Ah, yes, but why is the name Harvester shown and not Botanist? Unless we can upgrade that class. Unless I am mistaken, I did read that the gathering classes are undergoing some changes, so maybe Botanist is changing its name to Harvester. I could be wrong. Who knows.

Because that list is older than Janet Jackson's boobs. Whatever Tanaka intended is beside the point. While it is fun to speculate on things, this might be counter-productive since there is so little we know. Remember that these forums are very fanboy-centric and that they have a tendency to run with obscure and vague information as if it were fact.
