Diablos and Pajamas

Greetings everybody!

I was siting about the other day and an idea struck me. One that I would like to share with the developers and the community. I'm a huge fan of the fact that our characters dream when they go to sleep and saw our dreams as a perfect opportunity for Diablos, to utilize them as a way to enter our realm and torment the player.

My idea as to how this may come to pass would be through quest triggers, similar to the way the Inn Quest work with Hildebrand. At some point in our travels we come across an item or key item, that must be in our inventory when we sleep. Similar to the lamp, found in FFVIII. Certain events would follow that would eventually lead to an encounter with, The Lord of Dreams.

My other idea that I would like to share is that of pajama, or nightwear. They would serve a far greater purpose than looks. Pajamas could have additional effects that could increase the rate of Rested Bonus, or even raise the cap for Rested Bonus that we can have, if only by a very small amount. Beds could have a similar effect. the better the bed, the more rested we feel when we awake.

I like the idea. I think it would be a fun and interesting way to encounter Diabolos if the devs decide to add him. The Pajamas idea would be pretty cool too. Can't complain about extra exp. lol

I really like the pajamas/beds idea. Though it would be nice to have a way to have 'the best bed' without having to look like everyone else's 'best bed'... (I'm assuming here that we'll eventually be able to sleep in our HOUSES instead of just inns) I'd like to be able to have a house that looks just like I want but is also as practical as I want.

I would have so much fun sewing up pajamas for all my friends and eagerly looking forward to that moment when you sit up from your bed and find out if you had a dream or not.

I like the bed idea (craft a bed to put in a house)
But pajamas would suck, making you equip them before going to bed (yet another thing to remember)

As for diabolos, then (if) he is implemented as a primal, I think that is exactly how they should implement him.

I can understand the concern about having to remember to put on your PJs, before sleeping. There is also a possibility that if in fact you do have them to wear at all, that there would be an option when clicking the bed that would equip them for you. Option could read, (Equip nightwear and go to bed). Wording is subjective of course.

I love the Idea of Diabolos being linked to our dreams while we are logged out. He is by far my Favorite Summons and I hope he's not held off for too long after ARR.

The concept of dreaming, that the team has in place, is just such a wonderful concept that really should be delved into as deeply as they can take it. I'd like to amend to the possible encounters that could be possible, to foes such as the demon brothers, Curlax, Laragorn, and Moebius. Diablos is clearly top priority, but as things go forward, beings that haunt dreams could really add dimension to dreaming aside from just waking up only to find a smashed Ginger Cookie under your pillow.
