Really unique idea. +1 to the OP. may e for the final part of the quest all party members use a sleeping potion or something at a designated spot and everyone enters his realm.

Mega like. I wish I could like more than once too.
You know asides from this being silly to say it's a hassle to put on PJ's before you sleep, (Breathing is such a hassle as well) One good way to get around it is to have the game automatically equip your PJ's when you go to sleep or have them as some sort of "Setting" in your home to set the PJ's you wear to sleep(I'm sorry but I don't think we need our plate suits on in bed).

Dreaming for Diabolos is a brilliant idea! I'm all for it, since XI was the first to flesh out his backstory.
I'd also like to see Deathgaze/Deathguise while we're at it. Deathgaze is a recurring monster in FF that attacks airships. Depending on how airships work in ARR, maybe Deathgaze could attack the airship at random like the ferry pirates in XI. Either that, or at least have the battle accessible via airship like the Nael van Darnus fight.
Both are great ideas as long as we have a pretty good selection of PJs. I'd be okay with multiple tiers of PJs as long as there was a somewhat wide selection for each tier. Even though no one else would be seeing my nightware, I would want to be wearing the same thing as everyone else.

Great Ideas!! I love it.

This is a really cool idea dude.
Two thumbs up!
first Velour PJ's... i could be Zap Brannigan lol
second i like the idea of a Diablos dream but not just as a means to fight the lord of dreams but to open up a whole new area like sea/sky in FFXI

Wow! I'm really happy to see that so many of us are behind this idea. Now let's hope this gets the attention of the developers, and hopefully we'll see it happen. With their own spin on it of course.
Encounters via airship, I'm also very much behind. There have been several significant battles that have taken place, while on board an airship, within the series. Such as the escape from Vector, in Final Fantasy VI, the opening of Final Fantasy IV and certainly not to be left out, the battle versus Tenzen, in Final Fantasy XI.
As was mentioned above, a variety of PJs, would be fantastic, of both form and function. Some conservative. Some 'not so much', but still tasteful. When it comes to allure, every once in a while, things have be allowed room for the imagination.
