Beta Test - starting soon?

So i registered for Beta at GC 2012 and got an email confirmation today.

Its in german but its basicly saying that my profile is saved and i have a "chance" to get one of the limited Beta keys.

The lucky ones get notified on a later date.
Further information get published shortly before beta starts.



Ive applied for Alpha too but did not get any mail on that yet.
Dont know if it started yet but in last live letter it seemd like at least for JP it started.

Anyone else got any info they would like to share?

seems like no one got any invites, mails or anything.
information is really tight right now, nobody can say for sure if alpha started already or not.
Alpha is scheduled for Autumn this year and i think yoshida mentiond it would start end of sept or early oct.
You could see some charas in the live letter but those could be simply some interns.

I dont think Beta will begin before servers go down. But it should start right after, at least closed beta.

36th Producer letter came out, it states the alpha test is set for the last third of october.

Alpha doesn't start until the worlds go offline (On or sometime after November 11th, which is the Japanese only Alpha too) based on the last info we got through a gamewatch article. I doubt beta will start this year even.

The alpha test hasn't started yet, much less the beta test. Nobody has any info, because no hard dates have been given other than the shutdown date.

From the amount of players running around during the live letter. there is already a crash test dummy group testing. The million gil question of course is if that's there internal qa group or if those are the jp probono crashtesters.

Thats what i was thinking. I could be a couple interns testing. OR japanese alpha testers.

What i know, is that yoshida said JP will be the first to alpha test followed by the rest of the world, step by step.

Most likely it is their game testers and developers testing out things while Yoshida was showing things off in the server. Notice there were different variations of characters. Some noobs, some end game players probably testing abilities and their functions. Like you said, it is Pre-Alpha Testing.

Can't say to be sure, but I think someone would of posted on forums that JP are experiencing the alpha right now. It has to be real soon however if they want beta to kick off in November.
