You forgot you will have multiple gearsets (you gotta do quests for them but that doesnt matters) and so you wont have problems with inventory space anymore. Only gear that you dont wear or is used in an gearset will count towards the 100 items.somebody missed the most recent list update.
"* Items equipped by players will not count towards the 100 item inventory limit."
it doesn't state gear. it states equipped. so if i am on blm my blm gear i am wearing will not count, but doesn't mention the other gear you will have on you at the time.

yes, that is true. they also haven't stated how those gearsets will be handled. will you have to go back to town to change classes everytime? will crafting/gathering have their own sets as well? how did they decide to handle needing multiple of the same pieces of gear for different gearsets?

I'll let someone with more info handle the rest, but to the bolded...yes, that is true. they also haven't stated how those gearsets will be handled. will you have to go back to town to change classes everytime? will crafting/gathering have their own sets as well? how did they decide to handle needing multiple of the same pieces of gear for different gearsets?
We've never had to do that in this game, and according to the live presentation we've seen, it's not ever going to be that way, considering he changed from DRG to BRD to WHM.

Since I watched the video 3 times to clarify issue like these...
no, why would they change the entire premise of the armory system?
yes
For now, you have to have multiple copies of the sme piece of gear if you want to use it in different sets. However, they are considering allowing players to give an alias to certain pieces of gear to allow that piece to be used in different sets. They have not settled on this yet because the second option could be confusing to players.

so in other words if i don't have 2 hdl sets or multiple multi melds of the same piece of gear i'll need to carry it around with me because i will have to manually equip it instead if it being part of a gearset and taking up inventory..... gotchaSince I watched the video 3 times to clarify issue like these...

Yes, as it stands now you will have to have multiple copies of the same item if you want to use it in different gear sets but there's no reason that second item couldn't be part of a gear set as well, and thus not part of your normal inventory. Seems like a simple concept to me. Stop trying to make mountains out of molehills.

well, they understand that it's going to end up being an issue. We'll have to have some things (especially unique's and multi-melds) left out of the gearsets and tied to macros still if we want to use them on multiple jobs/classes...

You have to earn those gearsets first. You wont just start out with them all, and possibly much of your gear, if not excess materials, will end up on that temp storage npc.
Only what you have equipped before Nov 1 guaranteed to be on your person when ARR launches.

i'm glad someone sees one of the possible issues. if those quests are long to do(which they should be) then that gear could stay in that temp npc for a while. i know my luck the gear that gets put there will be the main classes i use the most frequently lmao.
