Sharlyian(maybe misspelled) is in they sky. i would really like to see some sea type stuff first though, the sea could house a plethora of stuff like ruins of the 6th Umbral era, a shipwrecked area, a sahagin stronghold etc etc. but the sky meh the sky's pretty dame empty

You misunderstand what I am getting at. The crystal tower as per Yoshi-P is more his version of the Crystal tower. It's a concept transposed into an MMO with adjustments to make it work in the context of XIV. He never said he was lifting the crystal tower as it was in FFIII and pasting it into Hydaelyn.

The same thing with materia. Materia here is not a copy of how it worked in FF7, but rather an enchanting system with higher penalties for failure.

As for the Gold Saucer, the same idea applies. Yoshi-P's version that will fit the in-game world accordingly. And I'm sure it'll be very entertaining once implemented.

Edit: Whoa, went away for a couple of hours and came back to realize I posted the bottom part as if I was replying to the debuffs thread. Apologies for the confusion, but the rationale presented sounded too much like the rationalte from that thread.

I'm not opposed to the implementation of a sky zone. Frankly, I'd love a series of floating islands and a trusty flying mount with which to explore them. Maybe a raid dungeon somewhere in there. Would want a properly designed and tuned 24-man raid vs 5 boss mobs encounter. You know, the kind that would encourage balanced group comps to deal with the fight mechanics over being stupidly cheesy in design and force people to super tank or 18 BLM it to win.

I don't care if they do sea or sky first, just add new classes and raise the damn level cap already. 2 years with the same content and jobs is good enough for me

I don't want to see "sea" or "sky". Waiting on people to do a pop... ya no thanks. That kind of stuff was lame and makes scheduling a major pain.

Plus people need to take off those graduation glasses because the nostalgia is preventing you from enjoying something new, creative, and unique. I will admit that FFXI did cover many types of cool zones for capped level activities but things like crystal tower are nice. Heck maybe we will have a "crater" zone where we go fight things at the impact site of Dalamund.

    Yeah...

things like crystal tower are nice
This makes you a hypocrite, tell others they're just lost in nostalgia but you'll gladly say the Crystal Tower, that originated from FFIII on the Nintendo, is nice, which means you have nostalgia for it as well to even think of it being nice or not.

So..people need to lay off of the "nostagia!" especially when people keep suggesting stuff from other FF titles out of the same nostalgia too. Btw, there's nothing wrong with a zone related to the sky, especially if it's story related (you know, FFXI Sky and pretty much any other Sky based zones in any FF game.)

I think many of you need to look up the words "concept" and "theme" in the dictionary. No one with half a brain thinks that yoshi p is talking about bringing back the exact zones from xi. Lol for gods sake read a book people.

I was referring to what Biggs has pretty much stated. Many people want the exact same from XI pasted into XIV and are being driven by nostalgia, much like what happens with FF7. People should just realize he may use some concepts but by all means he is trying to make XIV different enough from XI and still keep some FF themes like crystal tower. When looking at crystal tower I'm technically not a hypocrite because it will be in the game whether or not I do support it. (Which I will say it is a cool idea, even if I never played FF3.)

Plus if you had looked at what I said:
"Waiting on people to do a pop... ya no thanks. That kind of stuff was lame and makes scheduling a major pain."

    Was abundant in sea/sky.

Also I don't like to quote urban but:
Graduation Goggles-The relief and nostalgic feeling one has about a time in their life when it is about to end, even if the time was completely miserable.

what does nostalgia have to do with wanted full linkshell events where you run around killing and avoiding tons of mobs, killing bosses ...and then bigger bosses.... and then even bigger bosses for many sexy pieces of gear. truthfully the only thing out of the whole sky or sea thing that i would like to see the same is that it is full linkshell/company related. we have tons and tons of these 8man garbage runs. crystal towers i bet will be 16man?

why not one thing every expansion that is added for full company's to do together? ffxi had tons for everyone to do and tons for full linkshell to do why change that, larger range of events makes for forging together a good mmo full of lots of people that won't run off in 5months again.

forget the complaints about pop times, or nm timers to long, all the true issues you complain about can be fixed, other then one. time schedule and well to bad join one that fits or don't do it. killing mmo's with this easy enter stuff is just as unfair as missing a couple runs of something that obviously you want to be part of. heck make it all drops of materia from these places, i know we are not all sitting on double and triple melds, or even wearing the highest stat piece of materia possibler on even one of our gears so you can't really complain that you can't do it. it hasn't effected you yet. besides how many people are actually doing the 8man stuff when they want? how many have done it more then for the win? how many even have a full 8 to do it anytime they "feel" like it? it surely ain't everyone in this game. it's not gw2 or tera where when you just jump in over and over again with ease all day, and this is ok for some events, not all. well that is my opinions on the matter. lol. ty.

Because when everyone gets together to kill a big baddie in zone with loot... Atomos, Imperials, and things of that nature happen, lag/rage/mpk. Plus imagine if it is hard for people to get 8 people it will be harder to get 16/24/32 and then do drops accordingly because lets face it drops are important to many people, can't deny that.

Also, I am sure there will be bigger group content or things nations and companies can participate in.
