Content like Sky etc. is outdated so i don't want to see it in FFXIV but i really loved the Area and the flair of Sky. So I would love if they would implement an Area for Endgame with the looking of Sky or Sea with some actual Content of course.

And as I've said already,
What makes Final Fantasy:
1) Decent story
2) FF jobs we know and love
3) Chocobo and airships
4) Someone named Cid
Notice how the list doesn't include cut and pasted mechanics from single-player games? Or jumping (which detracts nothing from the game's FFness)? Or grass?
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
I'm sorry, since when are areas cut and paste mechanics? I mean your idea of "floating islands" would be a cut and paste mechanic by your..odd...logic.
Also: Crystal Tower.
Not to mention: Chocobo Raising (FFVII, FFXI) -- Golden Saucer like area (FFVII), Materia (FFVII) -- I'm sorry, Duelle, at this point it's safe to say you're just trying to fight against the inevitable. What I don't get is why you're not fighting against the implementation of the Crystal Tower which originates from FFIII FDS, a single player Final Fantasy game -- YoshiP even said he wants to try to appeal to the generation who knows it (no saving) and those who don't (never played FFIII) so exactly what is the problem you have with them making this a Final Fantasy game?
If you're looking for just a run of the mill MMORPG to play, Rift is still going well and it's not based on any series nor is Tera for example, it just really seems you're being selective, especially in regards to something that may be similar to FFXI -- Yes you dislike FFXI you make it clear, but you should be arguing for the removal of the FFVI, FFVII and FFXII like elements already existing as well.

i'd personally love to see something "like" sky. not the hours waiting for repops. but with the quick repop times we have now on nm's ..basically instant almost. 10-20mins tops on anything. but the jyst would be having the main story take you there maybe. and of course most importantly full linkshell events. where everyone in a linkshell can go and farm all day and nite if wanted too. lots of bosses scattered around a huge zone. doesn't have to be in the sky for me. it's more about what the event was. nice layers of fighting your way threw bosses that got harder as you went forward. it's like saying lets see limbus. what i'd really like is just 32man events with fun zones that lead to lots of bosses and gears.
these whole new ways of mmo'ing are bad, quick instances that you do a few times or grind over and over and over, like swtor and gw2, not very fun. this don't work. world events don't work either. you are basically by yourself less you do them with people you know and most of these events are empty and pointless within a month of the game out. check warhammer pq's not a one has groups in them maybe find 1 person botting in one of them. this whole quick and easy set up makes for way less entertaining events. my opinion though. so forget looks, i would like the actual content. i know i won't get it, they are slowly just pushing us aside for this easy quick content that truly ain't very fun.
last note, i pray crystal towers is more then 16man stuff, but i bet it ain't. this is my last mmo i think then i'm just done. they can have there quick buck, you can have your quick content. i'll go play shooters with my other friends and forget all about mmo's. RIP ffxi and all real mmo's.
It's not like FFXI was the only game in the series to have a Floating Continent in the Sky, we shouldn't presume that we're going to recieve an exact carbon copy of FFXI's Sky in FFXIV. And since SE appears to still be entertaining the idea of personal airships and flying mounts, It gives a Sky world in FFXIV a world of possibility in terms of unique and original content ideas.

I'm for the FFXI version of "Sky" in terms of aesthetics and feel. I'm against pop NM's that spawn with items from lottery pop /timer NM's. If they did a GW2 style open content event where people will work together (even outside of their own LS/free company), I'm all for it. I am not for supply/demand NM's where you stand to gain ground by MPK'ing a group with claim to progress your own group (happened in sky, is happening on the imperial event).
I loved crystal tower and that music. Having that in XIV just makes me sad that this game lacks vision of it's own.
Crystal tower had story and central purpose in III here it's purpose is to make manchildren go "squee!" for few seconds.
Sky as a zone? Yes. Sky's concept? Perhaps not-- I was never a fan of farming pop-items, but I did enjoy the rest of it.
Q20: Will we ever be able to send tells from within an instanced area?
A20: While the feature can be implemented, it’s currently masked. It’s currently masked because we would like to prevent players from harassing each other just because they know they would never party together in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully as we move forward.
