    Just had a thought. Likely never gonna happen, but might be neat to have our alt characters hang around the home as npcs whenever we log from them. Kinda similar to how we can store items and equip gear to retainers, but without having to log in and out.

    I know we're already getting the mail system, but yeah.

    Housecarls ~ I would like true npc haousecarls too, for those who dont want to make an alt :P

    Though I guess it depends on how big SE was talking about these houses.

    I'm all for this idea. It might even convince me to create a gathering alt.

    Yoshi-P is planning to bring back getting married in 2.0 (from FFXI) and it would be kewl if they did a shared estate thing that is accessed through your marriage certificate and a ring that provides a buff when both of you are in a party together.

    I am all for this. All though I wouldnt like the cross server thing only with your characters and your alts that are on the same server. I could see ppl getting rich very easily if it was cross server.

    Example: There are two servers, server A and server B.

    A vanya robe in server A is worth 2M and a vanya robe in server B is 5M. You make an alt. on server B and using your main character buy a vanya robe on server A for 2M than send it to your alt. to sell on server B for 3M profit.

    I support this idea too but it should be an option if you want to share your house because like in RL you don't want everyone in your house LOL

    wy not make it so that you can have one house for you account
    and that all of your characters can enter and put stuff in there change things

    i would see my alts as one family , and a family live together in one house
    Sounds like Granado Espada's barracks system, which I was particularly fond of. I would be amused to have my lala enter the house and see a Miqo'te alt lounging around, an Elezen alt sitting in the study reading books and a Hyur alt hitting on my retainer.

    Could have it so you can just talk to them and use that as a means of switching characters, kinda like how party switching worked in FFVI. Kinda like:

    Miqo'te Alt: You know, this place could use some more sprucing up. Tear down a wall or two, plant a tree in the center, that sort of thing...

    Would you like to change your character?
    => Yes
    No

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:
    Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

    I love this idea (not cross server)! When I make multiple characters, I always imagine them as being friends/family or people who at least have enough ties to each other to live in the same house.

    It might not be liked as much by people that make alts that have absolutely no knowledge of or relation to their main . . . in that case, they'd have to imagine that their characters live in the same apartment building or duplex, and keep their stuff in separate rooms.

    Would be nice to have the choice to have characters share a home, anyway.
