Player housing , make it account bound

so my idea was that seeing the houses will be instanced
wy not make it so that you can have one house for you account
and that all of your characters can enter and put stuff in there change things

i would see my alts as one family , and a family live together in one house

I like this idea! Though, since housing will be a part of Free Companies, maybe have something like "your storage" that is a shared storage box between your characters, instead of shared between the entire Free Company. Not to make it sound selfish, but if you farm up stuff just for an alt, maybe it should be saved for your alt instead of free grab.

I'm going to use at least 2 characters, entirely so I can play with friends who join at PS3 release, I might even make another just to see the new story before PS3 release <3 legacy

So yeah I want all my alts living in the same house.

Yoshi-P is planning to bring back getting married in 2.0 (from FFXI) and it would be kewl if they did a shared estate thing that is accessed through your marriage certificate and a ring that provides a buff when both of you are in a party together.

SWTOR did something like this with each character being a part of a family tree.

I agree, it would be a good idea for the few people who actually do make alts.

Although I think it would be cool (Since I dont share an account anymore)....at the same time, I could see this causing a few problems for those who DO share their accounts...like siblings.

I lurve mah sister, but I'm sure she would agree with me that we'd each want our own house.

We used to share our FFXI account. And I'm sure there are people now that do as well. But! Like I said, it would be cool to allow alts to enter my main's house....I used to make fanfiction of all of my characters working together.

Good idea. It would help server load for those with multiple alts. Not that one player with 10 alts would be in all ten houses at the same time, but the convenience of streamlining them all into one instance that's shared is highly beneficial.

In regards to spouses / gf or bf, I think you should be able to grant access to your house as a joint ownership to someone, however this could be a problem for those who start relationships and break up soon after.
