More like a bulk of players will be playing GW2 until 2.0 comes out five months later, they will try 2.0, and then they will go back to GW2 after being underwhelmed by the improvements.

I find this highly unlikely as GW2 will most likely be dead and forgotten by the time 2.0 is released.
