In all fairness if this event hadn't been exploited to hell everyone would have stopped doing atomos like a week ago. Either way its good news for the most part, sucks for the people who didn't get all the grand company seals they wanted but at this point the event really should have run its course. I had time to get the 500k achievement on one character and am upwards of 400k total seals on my mule that was only up to the point where i'd joined the grand company in the first place and bought a chocobo.

I honestly think that's what SE was hoping, that it would have played itself out after awhile since most new people were ranking up and capping off and buying gear, so in the natural flow of things it should have died out and everyone return to business as usual.
Thanks to Reinheart for the translation / update.
It's good to see them adjust the NPC gil situation.
What's weird is as Nero said: Wasn't last year's Foundation Day (and their giveaways) limited to... just 1 weekend? or 1 week at the most?
Right now the Foundation Day Event / NPCs are still up even after 1 full week. Strange.
It should've been over by now anyways IMHO.
So let me get this straight.
A bunch of bastards who are too stupid to take what they give you, bitched about the amount of gil people were making, and now we are receiving a nerf because they are too petty to do it themselves? Or am I mistaken, and they just think it's too easy to get gil because they don't have the time to play and do it like everyone else?
Grow the fuck up. Some people don't have countless hours to waste farming and crafting. An easy way to make gil benefits players who don't have time to play every day. So while you go ahead and make this nerf, be sure to know you're going to piss off a large portion of people just now joining this event.
I've had time to join the people killing atomos only a handful of times, and now you're going to nerf shit? Talk about a big fuck you to some people. Bad move... Real bad move.
While I understand the economy concerns, it's better than having to turn to RMTs. Or would you prefer casual players who have no time do just that? Look at some of the items people sell for 100k that are just normal items you need to upgrade while leveling. Fuck that. The economy is fucked up to begin with. You might as well force us to craft to make gil.
So let me get this straight, you're calling the director/producer of this game a Petty Bastard?
Considering it was SE's decision to do something about it rather than listening to people about others making gil, yeah you're basically railing on SE for making a smart move regarding the gil flowing in.
I'm sure you've already worn the event out and made millions of gil, no need to be pissy about them controlling the event that wasn't designed for making "casual players billions of gil" in the first place honestly.
