Not a huge fan of that fake looking gold / yellow color on the ather rings. And of course the characters are always extremely metrosexual but thats a SE thing :P.

Hopefully they will add more Auron* looks to their repertoire. *one of the only manly characters I can think of from SE lol. Galka's are man yes, but thats a whole race distinction. Like my guy I tried to make like a "guy" even giving him a beard but there was no option to give him actual eyebrows.. he has like pencil line faded eyebrows haha.

Well.. Games are suppose to be fake, not real life action . even FFXIV 1.0 :P. ( not sure if i'm making sense but that just the way I see it). The only thing that's real is you visually seeing the game, and you inputting the commands to the character, nothing more than that.

Fake gold I was referring to the circular disk with gems sticking out of it for the aether camp. Its colored like it's gold.. but colored in such a way I think its fake gold. Its a weak yellow color.

I know what you are trying to say though :P.

Well it does look "stylish" aside from the color being a tad off.

Well I've seen the one from the special talk session, I like that aether crystal (its a different model though). And I did admit it could be washed video quality :P.

About that picture with the Hyur and the Aetherythe behind him. To me that looks very similar to the GFX that is usually on PS3 games.
There is no way that picture is from on PC and high settings.

I'll take gameplay over graphics any day. You can have the prettiest looking piece of crap in the world and in the end, its still a piece of crap. no matter how "bad" these graphics are it still looks 100% better than FFIV but i had way more fun playing that then i did the 1.0 launch of FFXIV.

The lighting is what makes it look better, but really the textures and models don't look as good, you don't have to sacrifice gameplay for worse graphics in this case. They could have kept the same model for most things and added the lighting to it.

so many epople on this thread are making ti out to be so atrocious that it will render the game unplayable. i just think its slightly over reacting considering none of us have actually even played it for ourselves. but hey, dont let me stop people from jumping to conclusions.
