Yes and no. It's not as easy as saying "Oh, let's make that multi-platform. *POOF*! Oh, it works on PS4! /joy"
They actually have to code a part of it FOR the PS4. So, they do care single player games on the PS4.
IMO making the game cross-platform limits the overall potential of the game, all the modern MMOs that they are comparing to for "modern standards" are PC MMOs.
you have no clue how completely wrong you are ;p
I do not understand some people, and half of the people that say the things you do, have never even played many of the good Wii games, and the Wii U is no different.

I am seeing a good number of M rated games there, and good titles too, along with fun games as well like Tank! Tank! Tank!
Read again. I did say there are great games on the Wii. But face it, most (not all) of them are for kids, or your aunt. (Thinking about games like Cooking Mama, Wii Fit, etc.). Most of the Wii player base wouldn't be interested in playing an FF MMO. (Again, I said "most". I do own a Wii too, and I play FFXIV too, but that doesn't make the Wii-U a good console for FFXIV)you have no clue how completely wrong you are ;p

Now look at the PS3 or Xbox360, most of the games on these consoles are for more mature players. It would only makes much more sense to make the game for one of these two consoles. Also, concidering in the last few years numbered FF games were exclusive to the Playstation, it also makes more sense to release the game on the PS3.

Yoshida was asked this in an interview a while ago he said that they would look at it but before they start they will have to fulfill their promise of a PS3 release, and even then Sony has to announce the PS4 and give devs the tools to make it.
Yoshida wants to get as many players as possible on as many formats as possible, but first he needs to fulfill the promises already made.
You're better off asking a Magic 8 ball these questions...
I am an Aunt and I play MMOs! Your argument has no teeth! This game is rated T by the way. Teenagers are kids! And no, most games for the PS3 and 360 are not for "mature" players.Read again. I don't know much about the Wii-U. I know it's not the Wii. I know what games on the Wii aren't of importance. I know that the Wii would have a lot more games if it were as easy to release a $60 game and then charge $30 more for the DLC. I think the Wii only has 512MB of internal storage. I assume this won't be an issue with the Wii-U since it has cost Nintendo a lot of business.
Why does everyone think this game is for mature players? How come I find a lot of immature ones playing this game? Where's that Magic Eight Ball again? I'd like some answers.
I'm sick of people saying bullshit like this.
Which of these games is most intended for kids and grandpa?
Bayonetta 2
Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Zombi U
Asassin's Creed 3
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Mass effect 3
Darksiders 2
Aliens: Colonial Marines
I'm pretty sure all of these except probably MH3U are rated M for mature. Bayonetta in particular is a really, really violent game.
Please, look at the facts before you go around throwing bullshit stereotypes. Nintendo and multiple third parties are offering plenty of mature titles on the Wii U. They aren't making weak systems just for kids anymore.
Wii, yes. But this is Wii U we're talking about. They've got a lot of games for all audiences, including mature ones, in the launch window. Yes, some of them are not brand new. However it demonstrates the third party support Nintendo has this time around and that the system has the necessary capabilities for such games. But face it, most (not all) of them are for kids, or your aunt.

There does seem to be a lot of misconception about the Wii U. As someone who works in a small (very small) business video game store, the Wii games sell the least between Wii, PS3, and 360. I also almost never see a teenager or older trade-in a Wii game.
I've also had a lot of customers ask me if the Wii U was some add-on for the Wii, they had no idea it was a whole brand new console, next-gen, etc. I'm assuming that Nintendo's decision to cling to the 'Wii' name for their next console is probably part of the reason why everyone assumes it's going to be just like the Wii. I know it's frustrating, but I think the Wii-U is gonna have to prove everyone wrong on its own. You're not going to be able to change that misconception until then.
