The Wii-U would be a bad choice. This console is not being marketed for the players who would play FFXIV.
While there will be some good games on it, the reality is that most of the games are for kids or grandpa/grandma.
you have no clue how completely wrong you are ;p
I do not understand some people, and half of the people that say the things you do, have never even played many of the good Wii games, and the Wii U is no different.

I am seeing a good number of M rated games there, and good titles too, along with fun games as well like Tank! Tank! Tank!

Read again. I did say there are great games on the Wii. But face it, most (not all) of them are for kids, or your aunt. (Thinking about games like Cooking Mama, Wii Fit, etc.). Most of the Wii player base wouldn't be interested in playing an FF MMO. (Again, I said "most". I do own a Wii too, and I play FFXIV too, but that doesn't make the Wii-U a good console for FFXIV)you have no clue how completely wrong you are ;p

Now look at the PS3 or Xbox360, most of the games on these consoles are for more mature players. It would only makes much more sense to make the game for one of these two consoles. Also, concidering in the last few years numbered FF games were exclusive to the Playstation, it also makes more sense to release the game on the PS3.

I am an Aunt and I play MMOs! Your argument has no teeth! This game is rated T by the way. Teenagers are kids! And no, most games for the PS3 and 360 are not for "mature" players.Read again. I don't know much about the Wii-U. I know it's not the Wii. I know what games on the Wii aren't of importance. I know that the Wii would have a lot more games if it were as easy to release a $60 game and then charge $30 more for the DLC. I think the Wii only has 512MB of internal storage. I assume this won't be an issue with the Wii-U since it has cost Nintendo a lot of business.
Why does everyone think this game is for mature players? How come I find a lot of immature ones playing this game? Where's that Magic Eight Ball again? I'd like some answers.

Wow! Congratulations! Unless you are an idiot, you understoon very well that what I'm trying to say is that a lot of people who are 40-50 years old and never really played videogames are targeted by Nintendo with the Wii.
Okay... now I don't know if you're being a smart ass or if you are really an idiot. The rating have nothing to do in this case.
In fact we don't know much about the Wii-U final specs. We know it will have 2 gb ram, and 1 gb video ram. It sounds like it won't be much better than a mid-range gaming PC. I already expect much more processing power from the "PS4" and "Xbox 720". So once more, the Wii-U will be the weaker console.I don't know much about the Wii-U. I know it's not the Wii. Again, I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. Do you prefer the word "Adult" ? I have yet to meet a player under 18 years old, and legally, when you are 18, you are an adult. (Yes, I know, there's most likely a few, but they are a minority)
I'm sick of people saying bullshit like this.
Which of these games is most intended for kids and grandpa?
Bayonetta 2
Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Zombi U
Asassin's Creed 3
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Mass effect 3
Darksiders 2
Aliens: Colonial Marines
I'm pretty sure all of these except probably MH3U are rated M for mature. Bayonetta in particular is a really, really violent game.
Please, look at the facts before you go around throwing bullshit stereotypes. Nintendo and multiple third parties are offering plenty of mature titles on the Wii U. They aren't making weak systems just for kids anymore.
Wii, yes. But this is Wii U we're talking about. They've got a lot of games for all audiences, including mature ones, in the launch window. Yes, some of them are not brand new. However it demonstrates the third party support Nintendo has this time around and that the system has the necessary capabilities for such games. But face it, most (not all) of them are for kids, or your aunt.

/clap
I still expect more game for grown up gamers on the PS4 and Xbox 720, and you know it will happen. The Wii-U won't become the new Xbox...
