Atomos: Major annoyance for new players

From what I normally see, new people come on this game, bitch and whine that they aren't end game from day 1, piss off the vets or bug them to death, then quit if their efforts are in vain and go play some f2p mmo.
People who have stuck with this game will continue to stand by this game, give helpful feedback to the changes, and help lead this game into a new era.

So in other words, only vets will end up playing FFXIV as all new people will just quit and go play other games?
