Spoiler: Your nest egg will be (relatively speaking, not literally) the same size in 2.0! Congrats! What about the large pieces of land that require large amounts of gil to buy from an NPC? Or those expensive housing upgrades? For those of us who worked hard at making gil in 1.0, for the very reason that we would be well on our way to buying some of the great things 2.0 would bring, are being shafted and given the reasoning that arrows make up 90% of the current economy so removing arrows means 90% of our gil has to go. Oh but I haven't really lost anything because I can now buy cotton underwear from an NPC for 1/10th the price.
For those who haven't worked on saving up a nest egg this isn't a big deal, but for those of us who have we are in fact losing something.
