A: As far as Ala Mhigo and Ishgard goes, they won't be available immediately at launch. All the areas will be revamped in ARR so you can consider all the areas "new." You'll see new settlements, monsters, and dungeons. Also, the dungeons will be three times the size that they are now. If we introduce Ishgard and make further changes to the current nations, it will take another year to launch the game... Furthermore, Ishgard and Ala Mhigo areas will be introduced in order. Stay tuned!

They only mention those two " Not" being at launch. Sharlayan was not mentioned in the "not" part of it.

Neither was the Garlean Empire. My impression was that they mentioned those because they WILL be in the game eventually, just not at launch.

If Sharlayan, was part of that list, they would have said " Those three areas won't be immediately available at Launch". But perhaps Sharlayan will either be at launch or the First patch after ARR Launch. That's my speculation on it anyways .

Lack of acknowledgement of absences is not confirmation. For example, when asked the question "Do you like fish or chicken?" and you answer "I like chicken", you cannot infer that they do not like fish. Its one of the first things you learn in a logic class.

I looked at Reinheart's translations, and it looks like those weren't mentioned because the speaker didn't read the full question. The speaker only said Ishgard and Ala Mhigo, so that was all Yoshi-P talked about.

Meh, well it doesn't matter every zone is considered new, because they are all revamped, so its like all those zones will be entirely new. =)
