That would be awesome! i would love to have one of those shirts but instead of "I survived meteor" have it "I survived Launch 1.0" lol, but i would buy the new CE if it came with either of those items.
Weren't a lot of those mugs infested with mold? How many of you got the 1.0 CE and even at the time felt a little slighted, especially in North America. At least the guys over in Europe got a kewl and useful travel mug. The only thing I get any use out of from my CE is the Security Token.
Collector's Edition usual are a waste of money. That being said, I'm happy with my XIV CE and am looking forward to the AC3 one as well.
I mainly bought the CE so I could play earlier... For some reason they sent me two Right of Passage certificates... Not two in one package, but two separate deliveries. Identical certificates... I do have mine framed and sitting on my desk, I just slipped the spare behind it X)
As for the security token... I would have gotten a lot of use from that, except the one I bought back when they introduced them for FFXI still worked, and since I had FFXI tied to my Square Enix account, it works just fine for FFXIV. So my special FFXIV one is still in the wrapper. I keep the CEreal Box on display on my bookshelf, but that's about it X)
"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
I was happy with what I received, but do I feel like it was really worth buying at the time... no way in hell, but as OP said they have gone much further then when I first started this game.. wish it was as good now at the start lol
I guess I should just count my blessing that i didnt pay over $100 for it then? I'll need to buy another copy of the game anyway cause my son and wife have expressed an interest in playing but I'll probably buy the PS3 CE so i'll just steal all the groovy usefull stuff out of it for myself (maniacal laugh!)
I'm playing the game from a buddy pass that I acquired from a friend that had the collectors edition. That means I never even had to buy the game which is awesome and worth it by itself.
You heard it too, didn't you? the voice... of the wind....
yeah it sucked. i sent in for my certificate and never got it. So I'm biased.
Would have much preferred the moldy travel mug.
I actually bought the CE version because it had the Security Token included in the box. The artbook, map and mug was a nice bonus. (^_^ )
Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/
Give her your support by liking their art!
I got the CE...my new characters I make only get the onion helm too....why was it, only the 1st character I made (Who I dont even play anymore, because upon being bored as fuuu during the games release, I only came back to the promise of friends, so I had to make a new character on a different server) got the Hermes boots...and yet all of my other characters dont? Just curious...
I would have preferred the goggles that the RE players got -.-....especially over the onion helm. AND they never sent me my certificate. Granted, it wasnt what drew me to the collectors edition (Mostly being an 8 year vet of FFXI did). But it was said to come with it, but never did. (And yes, I sent for it)
I dunno...wish I had known about Skyrim at the time...I would have bought that CE instead....that dragon statue is sexeh!
