I'm sorry but if you are going to have a contest you need to not just decide that the voice should be male or female and then ONLY allow those folks to win. Certainly a deep growling voice is what I would have picked for a commercial, but to have that ON EVERY SINGLE CONTEST WINNER?

Not good, not good at all.

After a bit of thought I realized I was being too harsh. Its not like the contest judges are professionals at voice acting either. That doesn't excuse what happened, but I understand a bit. They wouldn't necessarily know the importance of allowing different voice types in.

Actually, I don't think it was harsh. You were voicing your opinion and some of us happen to agree with it. But *shrugs*

what I am curious about is if they really listened to all our submissions.

They said over 200 submissions, so thats a few hours listening to the same lines over and over.. lol

I would have liked to have heard a female voice, too, but think of how many pros fall short portraying a believable strong woman warrior. And with that material, I think the males had a very strong advantage.

Square Enix and strong sounding woman.. lol

From hearing a lot of SE picks for voice actors on the female side of things.. I dont think they really care.

Though I doubt Soken or someone like that picked the wining voices out themselves.
