To me everything that gives more information about the state of the game can be called "news".

If a developer posts something in his own language, in his own native forum it is unfair, I don't give a damn if it was 2 AM in Japan, actually that's another reasone to wait for the translation.
They asked us for feedback and criticism and then the first language the news are released is Japanese (wich isn't actually the most spread language in the world) it's just stupid.

uh..Most developers do that if you look at other mmo forums. Dont make them put us back in the dark.

They're not "restricting" the information to anyone. The information is there for anyone to be read. It takes a click to switch to the Japanese dev tracker. It's not their fault if you can't read Japanese or if you don't have the patience to wait for office hours for that information to be translated.

Living in a bilingual country - I just expect that kind of equality when dealing with multi-lingual situations. For those who say "it's a Japanese game blah blah blah" then would you also support if they patched things in Japanese first and waited a few days before doing other language translations? No?
And you should be thankful that we get actual updates to the game in all languages at the same time, as the MMORPG market is and has always been full of cases in which updates come later for languages different than the primary one.
There's a LOT of difference between actual game updates (to which you're entitled as a paying customer, since they're part of the product) and posts on a forum, to which, sorry to say, no rule or contract anywhere entitles you.

Maybe living in a bilingual country (thing that slows down bureucracy a TON, and is extremely costly to administer by the way) led you to take for granted some things that simply shouldn't be. Square Enix is a game developer, not a country.

What it is to you is rather marginal. You shouldn't demand people to always work on your personal expectations. It's not gonna happen anyway.

Has it ever occurred to you that he might be posting at that time because during the day he's busy working on the game and actually doing his job?

actually that's another reasone to wait for the translation.

You can give feedback and criticism the day after. It's that simple.

    Serious question:
Your company is English speaking primarily, you speak English only, you guys set up an official forum then later decide to support other regions like say, dutch...do you post in dutch and ignore the English forum and community despite the fact it's your home language, or do you speak in your native language because you can do it quickly and more efficiently?

"Waiting for translations" is what is unfair when I can just write a blurb in my native language.

It's their fault cause they'rr working on an international project yet they can't speak English.

How is it unfair, because we don't get it first? It's not like we're not going to get a translation at all. Since you learned English how about learning Japanese? That way you can talk to the Devs yourself.

So anyone that doesn't speak proper english shouldn't dare developing games for an international market?
    Just lol.

Sorry mate. Not all games revolve around the western fanbase.
Thank goodness some japanese developers still bring some diversity to this overly stagnant market.

English is a horrid language, but it's also the most known as a second language world wide.

I forgive SE for speaking Japanese being a Japanese based company located in Japan who are no doubt, Japanese natives.

If my company main language is Eskimo and I have to relate with Polish and Portuguese people I speak English.
If I'm going on a journey in a country where I can't speak the native language I speak English.
Even in game if we are French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian in party, not even one native English, we still talk in English.

If a company has a worldwide project the communication has to be in English first. Period.
