They're not "restricting" the information to anyone. The information is there for anyone to be read. It takes a click to switch to the Japanese dev tracker. It's not their fault if you can't read Japanese or if you don't have the patience to wait for office hours for that information to be translated.

Living in a bilingual country - I just expect that kind of equality when dealing with multi-lingual situations. For those who say "it's a Japanese game blah blah blah" then would you also support if they patched things in Japanese first and waited a few days before doing other language translations? No?
And you should be thankful that we get actual updates to the game in all languages at the same time, as the MMORPG market is and has always been full of cases in which updates come later for languages different than the primary one.
There's a LOT of difference between actual game updates (to which you're entitled as a paying customer, since they're part of the product) and posts on a forum, to which, sorry to say, no rule or contract anywhere entitles you.

Maybe living in a bilingual country (thing that slows down bureucracy a TON, and is extremely costly to administer by the way) led you to take for granted some things that simply shouldn't be. Square Enix is a game developer, not a country.

What it is to you is rather marginal. You shouldn't demand people to always work on your personal expectations. It's not gonna happen anyway.

If a developer posts something in his own language, in his own native forum it is unfair, I don't give a damn if it was 2 AM in Japan
Has it ever occurred to you that he might be posting at that time because during the day he's busy working on the game and actually doing his job?

actually that's another reasone to wait for the translation.
They asked us for feedback and criticism and then the first language the news are released is Japanese (wich isn't actually the most spread language in the world) it's just stupid.
You can give feedback and criticism the day after. It's that simple.

It's their fault cause they'rr working on an international project yet they can't speak English.

So anyone that doesn't speak proper english shouldn't dare developing games for an international market?
    Just lol.

Sorry mate. Not all games revolve around the western fanbase.
Thank goodness some japanese developers still bring some diversity to this overly stagnant market.

It's a worldwide project with a worldwide community.
We aren't playing illegally a game that was released only in Japan. I'm not saying everyone working on it should be speaking English, but the one in charge to relate to the community definitely has to do it!

And honestly I think that if it wasn't SE and if it was, in exemple, a Spanish company nobody would excuse him.

Just because Blizzard does it it doesn't mean it's right.
Also, English isn't my language, but I understand it's the best language to use to relate to people from all of the world :P

This game is down to 20-30k players which fanbase does it revolve around?

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

And of course you have solid and confirmed sources to say that, right?

Considering most servers when we could see online players were between 2k-3k and many people have quit since then I would say it is a fair assessment.

English is a horrid language, but it's also the most known as a second language world wide.

I forgive SE for speaking Japanese being a Japanese based company located in Japan who are no doubt, Japanese natives.

Yep, and I'm *very thankful* of the fact that the game isn't region locked as it would be much worse not to be able to play at all because some lack the patience to wait for accessorial communication to be translated.

I uderstand it very well. What you don't understand is that information on the forums isn't part of the product. You didn't pay for it, ergo you're not entitled to it. Be thankful that you receive it in due time.

The *product* is perfectly delivered in all languages at the same time (and with a top-notch localization I'd add). That's all that matters for an "international project".

Not really. There's no rule in place about that. The one in charge must be *competent*.

And honestly I think that if it wasn't SE and if it was, in exemple, a Spanish company nobody would excuse him.
There's a LOT of difference between a spanish company in which people's first language is spanish, that uses the exact same method of writing as english, and Japanese, that not only is a different language, but also uses a different writing method.
The gaming industry is full of companies from russia, and guess what? their communication arrives faster in russian. Mind you, there also are plenty german, polish and such companies, and in MANY cases their communication comes first in their native language, and then is simply translated in due course.
