The Japanese have been pushing way harder for regional servers than we have. Use a translator and check this thread with more than 1000 posts: dedicated server for each language
I'll warn you before you read it though, there are some very racist posts.

A lot of you in this thread are really confused by what a data center is. A data center is just a place that houses servers.

These are the direct words from Yohida's mouth: I really don't know how people are getting confused about this. It seems pretty clear to me. Either this is a horrible misunderstanding, or you guys are trying to make your wishes become a reality by believing they are true hard enough.

Considering how over sensitive the 'stereotypical' member of Japanese society is, their opinion of our forums is probably a loooot worse. IDK why everyone wants to play with them so badly. Some of them are great, BUT, they only let you play with them when it suits their needs and all other resources have been exhausted. When you do manage to squeeze into a party the only reason you think they are being nice to you is because a) you can't google translate so many japanese phrases in such a short ammount of time, you have no idea what they could be saying about you. b)if any of them do speak your language, they just don't know how to belittle you in it, that's all.
