I wasn't talking about stats, damage etc.; I was talking about charisma and uniqueness ... things actual DRG completely lacks.
An armor nobody will use and a Jump attack in a lore without dragon enemies ... this things should make DRG a good DD choice when SAM or DRK will be implemented?
DRG has always be one of my fav classes with THF, Gambler and BLU ... but in this game is miles away from a good, characterized class.
A lore without dragon enemies? You must have missed the entire Dragoon questline then...
And in that case, you may show yourself out of the thread now.

Oh yeah, smart players don't use AF aside from WHM pieces because most of it sucks ass and is easily replaced by melded gear, GC, or especially DL gear.
More that shows you have no clue what you're talking about.

Are you a complete @#@#? This is the last time I'll try to explain something so simple ...

I said, the armor alone can't bring uniqueness to the class since nobody use it ... and the job itself has poor, characterized abilities and the strongest WS seems a SAM WS ...

Plus ... the Dragoon questline? With who I'm I talking about these things? So should I feel comfortable about DRG role since in his quest dragons exist? (They aren't even dragons in the first place, they're wyverns ...)
There are no dragons actually in this world ... there are cyclops, marlboro, ants, iron golems, buffaloes ... but not a single dragon.

Now, since in the new gameplay videos they're showing us a dragon, I think they've understood this fact ... still, I'd like to see if DRG will be more effective against them, compared to other DDs ... if not, well .... ù_ù

"I like the stars. It's the illusion of permanence, I think. I mean, they're always flaring up and caving in and going out. But from here, I can pretend... I can pretend that things last. I can pretend that lives last longer than moments. Gods come, and gods go. Mortals flicker and flash and fade. Worlds don't last; and stars and galaxies are transient, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and vanish into cold and dust. But I can pretend."

I do agree with you about Dragoon should be a more Dragon Killer knight. Anything to make them shine against Dragon kinds is a plus, but; Yucie has a valid point about the Dragoon Quest line.

There are also Drakes found in numerous places. Don't get me wrong, a Drake is a term used to describe (particular types of) dragon or similar draconic creatures, in this case a Drake is a wingless dragon.. Another argument you bring up is your opinion about Chaos Thrust. Chaos Thrust is actually a Lancer ability and all we might know is that Lancer might be a class needed to unlock Samurai, but this is speculation.

i would rather Dragoon be wanted to beat dragons because the style of play fits fighting dragons rather than some dragon specific buff then it becomes a wasted trait etc for anything but dragons.

It's the only reason I don't play dragoon in this game, I liked the wyvern pet alot.

That and the purple armor. I don't like the darknight look they have.

Then I read the second post in this thread and realized I didn't have to after reading the content and amount of likes it garnered.

I'll make sure to put a green arrow on it though.

This. I wish Hyrist was here so he could post his old signature. A picture of Kain with the caption "I didn't need a wyvern to become the symbol for all Dragoons. Why do you?".

Don't bog down Dragoons a second time just because of a pet, please.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
