    Pros for international servers is the cons I put above just reversed, and cons are only higher latency (which SE may have fixed.)
    It all boils down to how Square Enix is going to improve the auto-translate function if they decide to not have regional servers. It's entirely impossible for English only ps3 players to use google translate to decipher Japanese (and vise versa), unless they know how to pronounce and in turn properly spell all of the English derivatives of Japanese characters. It's really rare to see a Japanese player speak Japanese in English characters in this game, at least from my experience.

    EDIT: It is an issue for every different language, but the problem is more prevalent with Japanese as it is not that common for them to speak English French German and Spanish as apposed to people who live in Europe where multi-lingualism is pretty common.
