I support gearscore in theory, but not how the player base utilizes it. It's supposed to be a baseline as to what content you should be able to do. However, in WoW's case, it created another artificial barrier for pug groups (who oftentimes asked for incredible gear scores for content 2-3 tiers below what that gearscore should be at).

With the content finder, if it works anything like WoW's current dungeon/raid finder, then it becomes a moot point. The system itself will have that gate set to an appropriate level for the content in question. The only issue you'll have to deal with is mouth breathers in Ul'dah looking for 5k gear scores for 3k gear score content for live world pugs.
