    A few things:

    1) Man I WISH I could speak Japanese..looked like they were having a lot of fun and that was enjoyable to watch. It looks like they have a good mixture of hard work and fun. Anyone know about their company and what methodology they develop with?

    2) I'm curious about quest content. They've talked a lot about the quantity of quests, but I'm wondering if there's different kinds of quests. Currently, the quests in ffxiv are a little boring to me. Its basically "run and go talk to that npc over there, now go talk to that one over there" Whenever I get a quest that involves actual fighting I find it really refreshing, but never really challenging. So I'm really hoping that these new quests will have fun and creative story lines, along with content that is diverse enough to keep you interested for each new quest.

    3) Holy crap the world looks amAZing. It totally looks like a game that you can easily role play, and just have fun "living" there. The game play is smooth, and the level of detail just blows me away.

    4) For some reason his answer about what current players will be able to do in ARR didn't inspire me too much. I think the list was really only "raise your chocobo, and there will be new dungeons and raids for you to do." I'll have to listen to it again, but that's all I really remember him saying. I think that was when he started talking about a lot of the new dungeons being level synced, and that current players were supposed to be excited to play these new level capped dungeons. I dunno, that doesn't excite me too much. I know that not all dungeons will be capped, and if I don't like it then I don't have to do it, but he only listed a few things for current players to look forward to, and if that's one of the few..makes me cringe a little.

    5) I was disappointed that they didn't mention more about the specs required to play ARR, specifically on the lower end. I think the only thing they said about it was "yes, current players can play it using the higher end of the settings" but the only thing I heard them say about the lower end was that "yes, ps3 players will have this same graphic quality." I'm just curious about this because I'm trying to get my brother to play this game, but his computer can't play it now.

All in all though, I'm super pumped. Can't wait for ARR!

I believe that people are missing the overall point of this presentation. That is to give potential subscribers a detailed outline of what will be in the game at launch and specifics for major changes to gameplay and presentation. In this it succeeded quite well. As the Devs mentioned on numerous occasions we were not looking at a finished product. From what I saw and heard I have even greater enthusiasm for the final release product. Beta testing will tell the story and that is several months away. A lot more work is still to be done. Lets wait til then before we pass final judgement on its quality.

The instant recast on timers looks really concerning. Does this mean a Black Mage can cast every 3 seconds? A white mage could use Raise every 3 seconds? Hope we can get some clarity on this because PvP seems to be doing a LOT more harm then good.

xD I love their sense of humor

Soken: Knee Highs!! (Soken's such a perv! Gawking at women wearing knee high socks in the audience)

And Yoshida's voice is quite low ._. never expected that out of such a little man

Matsui: "I'm ready. This thing's passing under my clothing. I can strip, but nothing to get excited about."

This makes working for SE look like hard (but fun) work
I loved that part, the curse of live broadcasts even hits Yoshi-P. That was about the funniest thing to do with the game I have seen, its obvious they all like to have fun while they are working. And lol "So all the directors are errand boys?"

If a whm needs to spam raise you aint gonna win anyway. A blm can already do that so i don't see the problem.

Well if you start spamming WS and spells like crazy, you'll run out of MP/TP fairly quickly. Seems like resource management is going to be tougher than it is now, especially for TP based classes. One of those "just because you can doesn't mean you should" situations.

Not to mention you will be dead in no time because the tank can't hold hate.

I was just going over that part in particular and I find it odd. In World of Warcraft we call what he's talking about a "Global Cooldown", essentially some skills activate a global recast timer for all of your other skills... however only some skills trigger such a thing, so I find it odd if FFXIV were to go the route of ALL mp- and tp-related skills causing a global cooldown event.

I do agree with someone else who mentioned if your WHM is casting Raise every 3 seconds then you probably aren't winning anyway, however the ability to essentially SPAM mp-based skills doesn't necessarily sit well with me either, for example offensive spells. Stone and Stonera for example have two very different recast timers and this makes sense to me.. will they both now simply trigger a 3-second global cooldown? Not sure I like that, but it's a minor thing in the long run for me.
