A few things:
1) Man I WISH I could speak Japanese..looked like they were having a lot of fun and that was enjoyable to watch. It looks like they have a good mixture of hard work and fun. Anyone know about their company and what methodology they develop with?
2) I'm curious about quest content. They've talked a lot about the quantity of quests, but I'm wondering if there's different kinds of quests. Currently, the quests in ffxiv are a little boring to me. Its basically "run and go talk to that npc over there, now go talk to that one over there" Whenever I get a quest that involves actual fighting I find it really refreshing, but never really challenging. So I'm really hoping that these new quests will have fun and creative story lines, along with content that is diverse enough to keep you interested for each new quest.
3) Holy crap the world looks amAZing. It totally looks like a game that you can easily role play, and just have fun "living" there. The game play is smooth, and the level of detail just blows me away.
4) For some reason his answer about what current players will be able to do in ARR didn't inspire me too much. I think the list was really only "raise your chocobo, and there will be new dungeons and raids for you to do." I'll have to listen to it again, but that's all I really remember him saying. I think that was when he started talking about a lot of the new dungeons being level synced, and that current players were supposed to be excited to play these new level capped dungeons. I dunno, that doesn't excite me too much. I know that not all dungeons will be capped, and if I don't like it then I don't have to do it, but he only listed a few things for current players to look forward to, and if that's one of the few..makes me cringe a little.
5) I was disappointed that they didn't mention more about the specs required to play ARR, specifically on the lower end. I think the only thing they said about it was "yes, current players can play it using the higher end of the settings" but the only thing I heard them say about the lower end was that "yes, ps3 players will have this same graphic quality." I'm just curious about this because I'm trying to get my brother to play this game, but his computer can't play it now.
All in all though, I'm super pumped. Can't wait for ARR!
