    1up, like Kotaku, is full of non-gaming BS, editorializing-as-news, shameless self promotion, fluff articles, and cheap hype.

    Still it's nice to see FFXIV get a plug there --

    I think there are more of us out there than you think.

    FFXII (Intl Zodiac especially) has a level of craftsmanship unparalleled in any FF (offline) game. Most people tend to look back and remember the sentimental scenes in games (FFX, FFVII, etc) but FFXII took itself much more seriously than other FF games. It had a complex story that dealt with the intricacies of world politics, existence, destiny, loss and duty/responsibility.

    Not only that, but it is one of the most visually engrossing games I've ever played.

    I'm hoping for a HD re-release sooner rather than later.
