I always felt like people should only play as the gender they are, like have SE block out female choices if your a male in real life or something. But I'm gay and I play as a male. XD

Some games actually have that if you're account is male, then they lock you in with male choices

It doesn't matter either way to me, girls will be boys & boys will be girls. I think of it this way sometimes: stare at a guy's ass all day, or stare at a girl's ass all day.

This^. That is the most stupid excuse i ever heard "If i'm gonna look at someones ass for 7 years it might as well be a female" when half the time your armor covers that part of the body and secondly why would you want look at your chars ass anyway?

I feel like you're not showing your character enough appreciation! He works hard all day swinging his fists and kicking his feet. The least you could do is take a moment to appreciate the great ass he's developed in the process. It's not necessary to get any jollies involved, just take a moment to applaud some great buns.

I think it's more of a personal preference thing. I myself don't usually roll with an avatar of the opposite sex in MMOs, and will generally play male characters (although I'm always trying to make them look like Big Boss from Metal Gear xD)

That said, I've made it a point to play both genders in games like Mass Effect and Skyrim. Oddly enough, my female characters are the hardasses. Renegade FemShep ftw :P

Anyway, as long as you're having fun and not trolling others too much, I don't think your characters sex matters all that much.
