I soooo wanted to respond to this Sunday and yesterday but for some reason I was blocked from the forums. I blame needing to reinstate my subscription to XIV mixed with the Labor Day holiday.

Anyways, I wanted to say I dug the build up. Starts calm, then explodes near the end. Lots of passion behind the voice. Good work.

I'm very tempted to give this a try myself. I've been told that I have a nice voice, but I have to work to hide my accent. Lightly-twangy Okie accents are unsuitable for epic Final Fantasy trailers.
There used to be a woman from New Orleans in my linkshell. Her voice sounded like that of a southern belle. It wasn't overly done (she may have been vainly trying to hide it) but it was very light, smooth, and sweet, kind of like fine cotton candy.

Besides, the creators of the contest left it open only to the North American audience (unfortunately). With that in mind I'm sure they're a bit lenient on non cannon accents. I know the localization writers from XI purposefully would write some Mithra dialogue to sound as if they were from the south. XIV may be different but that doesn't mean your voice couldn't add to the breadth of the community.

    Do share please.
