    • The summoners will be able to borrow the power of 4 primals (this is what is planned till now, and could be expanded later on). The ones that are confirmed right now are Ifrit, and Garuda.

    Thanks for the info! Lots of great tidbits in here. A few thoughts:

    • While I understand why they made the Positioning Changes to Combos, I'd say I'm a bit bummed. Having to move around and hit an Enemy from the Left or Right, or from Behind made things interesting and made battle more dynamic than just standing from anywhere and just mashing your Weaponskills.

      I understand for PvP this would make things very difficult (if they kept our current Positioning Requirements), but at the same time, I wish they could keep the Position Requirements for the Regular Game, but disable them for PvP Colosseum Mode.
    • I'm really glad to hear about Summoners being able to use the "essence / borrow the power" of Primals.

      I was worried Summoners might get stuck summoning sad things like... Fire / Ice Elemental, or some strange replacement for the famous Final Fantasy Summons. But hopefully now, we'll still get the ability to summon the "Power of Ifrit" or the "Power of Shiva"! etc.

    2.0 / A Realm Reborn is looking fantastic and this Talk Show just adds more excitement to it all! Can't wait!

    Multi Data centers: At the moment, there is only one data center in Japan, and all players are connected to it. Now they are making more data centers around the world to improve the server response. Players will still be able to play with everyone regardless of regions. This is just for the convenience of players not in Japan.

    It is not only good for PvP
    How many melees cursed out loud or in their minds during the moogle fight and in the end they came as BLM or ARC to the next fight?

    Err comboing in Moogle is easy as hell except on Pomburner which seems to have a smaller position check cuz of her (his?) 'run away' animation can be delayed and you end up hitting the side rather than back lol.

    Well, back on the original teaser site for the game (and this could all change since Yoshi's in charge now) under the BSM, it specifically mentioned gunsmithing as being it's own subdivision of BSM.


    EDIT: If SAM is getting a special uber skill when it comes to XIV, it must be Cosmic Elucidation

    I understand your concerns, but consider these following two examples:

    * Mages can stand anywhere and combo even with their backs turned to the target.

    * Another example, consider how often you see a PLD(tank) position themselves behind a boss to complete a combo action.


    I think these changes are necessary to make things more fair
