please bring back the upgradeable wep like in 11 where u had to do x number of kills on exp yelding mobs and nm's and keep relic hard to get
Please no. Upgrading is great, but killing a billion mobs for no reason isn't.

Relict weapons is planed as upgradeable.
And if you want x number of kills for your relict weapon, it is already in the quest in the spiritbound part
So... basically get in the top 3 by delivering loads and loads of supplies (either via caravan spam or crafting) and then just win a level 2? still kinda BS when you need 3 of each and that's all just to flag the quest... and do you have to do that for every single relic?
Not sure how you get around the double meld.
This is why I loved empyreans so much. As much as some of the VNMs sucked, it was mostly easy because you could team up with others all the way. The NM camping sucked, but that was just part of the deal. I actually liked the Abyssea phase best, especially after they added the extra ??? points and included more AF3 drops, though some NMs were a lot worse than others (FU Sobek & Bhukis) - not necessarily in the fights themselves but getting the key items from the timed NMs.
and, at least until the 99 update, the Empyreans were well worth the effort. Relics and even Mythics are arguably better now at 99 but I blame Tanaka coming back for that. Matsui did a damn fine job beforehand - not perfect but still good.
You get around the double meld by buying it from the wards.
If you have enough gil you can buy your way to number 1 provisioner and get a 100% chance of a drop.
seals are a one time deal.... once you get them you can skip that part for every relic you do afterSo... basically get in the top 3 by delivering loads and loads of supplies (either via caravan spam or crafting) and then just win a level 2? still kinda BS when you need 3 of each and that's all just to flag the quest... and do you have to do that for every single relic?

Why are many people want this quest to get easy? just because you're not skilled enough to get it down doesn't mean others aren't, the whole idea behind Relics is so those who have them stand out, it depends on skills and team work, it shows how some linkshells are more skillful and "better" than other linkshells, again, in terms of team work and skills.
i was talking about something different relic here in 14 is equal to Nirvana in 11 mythic im talking kinda like trial weapons
So then it is just like Dyna relics then, just with a crappy pre-requisite quest @_@
You misunderstand; no one is asking this to be easy. No one's complaining about ifrit extreme or the faction NMs.Why are many people want this quest to get easy? just because you're not skilled enough to get it down doesn't mean others aren't, the whole idea behind Relics is so those who have them stand out, it depends on skills and team work, it shows how some linkshells are more skillful and "better" than other linkshells, again, in terms of team work and skills.
What we DON'T like, is being thrown at the mercy of the RNG and/or economy, as opposed to testing our own competence and ability to adapt and improve.
Seriously, the definition of Insanity is to try the same thing over and over again hoping for a different outcome. Therefor, the RNG = insanity and it's ridiculous to use it as a means of artificially inflating the difficulty or stall for time. I say again, Empyreans didn't cost anyone a dime, and were pretty much attainable by anyone who was truly dedicated. The only real barriers to attaining one were your own skill and personal network (people you know) - at least up until the 95 update and they did the 1500 plates... that was oldschool, past-era Tanaka bullshit and that's why I quit XI after that. I don't care to see that kind of nonsense make a resurgence in what's otherwise a very modern and potentially fun MMO. Get with the times already.
And can you verify that info about the seals from someone who has a relic and has started up another? That's really good to know if it's true.
