Is there a crafter that would like to opine on how lazy they are? Sitting around skillessly making HQ items and risklessly trying to meld them?No one said they need to "sideline" crafting. Make all gear meldable. Make craftable gear that requires mats from bosses. Problem solved. I realize that crafting is a big part of this game unlike any other MMO, but when you sacrifice ANY sense of progression just so crafters can be happy to sit around in town and craft all day from mats gathered right outside town that require 0 danger or any form of skill, THAT'S when there's a problem like there is now. And materia is nothing more than sitting in Natalan for hours on end grinding on wolves. This game has a severe lack of rewarding players for their skill, and more for how patient they are when it comes to mindless grinding.
Is the RNG system that's in place now there to draw out 1.0 content until 2.0 arrives? More than likely. That's only half of the problem though. The other half is the problem of, like I previously stated, that gear that can be made with 0 risk or skill involved. The 1.0 engine is a huge limitation as to how high of a skill ceiling they can place on fights, I understand that. This is a thread asking what plans the devs have for 2.0 and how progression will be handled.
Crafters don't need to buy gil. :P There's plenty of drops on sale that require a lot of gil. Maybe you should craft so you wont' be so jealous of those richer than you are.
BRD - 7/12 slots crafted.
Most of the other classes stand at about 50% crafted with 20% GC 30% drops.
Again, a vague number, but it is clear that the ratio is still skewed to work towards crafters.
I'm mostly against the system because I play BLM/BRD/WHM and probabally am getting screwed the most by this system.

I have almost all crafts at 50. I craft plenty. I'm not jelly of those with lots of gil. Making money isnt hard (HQ crafts ahoy) which is part of the problem. Why should something so easy and be more based on luck than anything else be so rewarding? I'm just annoyed that the system is exploitable, where as dungeon/primal/militia drops are not.

How is it exploitable? How does crafting lead to gil selling? Last, I heard, gil sellers are using DoW leves not crafting.

BRD:
Garuda's bow.
Head: AF head/Grid officer hat/Paragons crown.
Body: Crafted dbl meld pie body/Af/Serpent sergeants overcoat
Hands Dmeld gloves dex gloves if you need them
legs Militia subligar
Feet Darklight boots.
I'm not even gonna count rings and shit. but your gear can go a lot of ways. Crafted gear isnt the only way to go.

Because i believe there should be an even distribution.
EG: 20 Crafted / 20 Questing / 20 Dungeon Chest / 20 Primal Fight / 20 Other
My opinion on it as I enjoying focusing on as many aspects of the game as possible, as opposed to spending vast time in town.
Of course, but if you want the best, its mostly crafted. Add rings ect and you're 7/12 :PDa fuck ok lets see brd.
