Current chocobos and raising

Lamed? Sorry if I don't know much FFXIV lingo yet.

Not really FFXIV lingo but general lingo.

Anyways, I was watching Archeage's 5th closed beta streams and they have mount raising in that game, you can also do so many things with your mounts; they can jump, sprint, winny, walk side-ways, fight with you, and they DIE. There's also mounted combat.

I just hope that with a focus on Chocobo raising in FFXIV, they at least try to meet some of these standards. Hopefully they add a mounting animation too.

They better not be... -_- as that would put a damper on my spirits.

Agreed. They already tried this and failed when they updated all the armour to be colour-class specifc, so it would be foolish of them to repeat the mistake and try to colour-lock everything again.
