GM's and Loot "Mistakes"?

I once accidentally took the fishing hat from hamlet which i actually wanted to give a LS mate.
Since in Warcraft you're actually able to solve such mistakes in a few hours, i made a gm ticket.

Well, what i got was nothing aside from a msg telling me that "this is not possible". Now i have an item which i can't even use and also takes one inventory space.
I really miss the Warcraft GMs...

Thanks for confirming my suspicion that SE GM's are totally worthless. That's the info I was looking for.
